We are IMPORPEL, a paper industry, located in the city of Porto Ferreira, in the countryside of São Paulo. Since our inception in 1978, we are pride of manufacturing all of our products with only paper recycling.

IMPORPEL is a company that uses industrial technology to produce paper, from 100% recycled raw material, seeking the satisfaction of its customers through quality products, agility in service and respecting the environment.

Labor Policy

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS affirms its commitment to the Essential Work Requirements Policies in order to ensure that it is not directly or indirectly involved with the following points below:

In applying the Essential Work Requirements, IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS takes into account the rights and obligations established by national legislation, while complying with the objectives of the requirements.

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPER does not, under any circumstances, use child labor in its processes.

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS does not, under any circumstances, employ workers under the age of 15 years or below the minimum age, as established in national or local laws or regulations (respecting the highest age between the legislations), except as specified in paragraph below.

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS guarantees that no person under the age of 18 is employed in hazardous or heavy work, except for training purposes, in accordance with approved national laws and regulations.

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPER prohibits and repudiates any form of child labor.

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS prohibits and repudiates all forms of forced and compulsory labor and all employees are free to work in accordance with legal requirements and those defined by IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS.

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS understands that labor relations are voluntary and based on mutual consent, without the threat of penalty.

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS, through this policy, works so that, in its processes, there is no evidence of practices indicative of forced or compulsory labor, including, among others, the following:

  • Physical and sexual violence;

  • Forced labour;

  • Withholding wages/including payment of employment fees and/or payment of deposit to commence employment;

  • Restriction of mobility/movement;

  • Retention of passport and identity documents;

  • Threats of reporting to the authorities.

 

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS guarantees that there is no discrimination in employment and occupation, and does not accept such practice within its facilities.

 

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPER respects freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining. Workers may establish or join workers' organizations of their own choosing, as established by applicable law.

 

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPER respects the total freedom of workers' organizations to draw up their constitutions and rules.

 

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS respects the rights of workers to engage in legal activities related to the training, association or assistance of workers or to refrain from doing the same and does not discriminate or punish workers for exercising these rights.

 

IMPORPEL INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO DE PAPÉIS negotiates with legally established worker organizations and/or duly selected representatives in good faith and with the best efforts to reach a collective bargaining agreement.

 

Collective bargaining agreements are implemented where they exist.
